Roadwork Alert

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that work on West Run Road between Longfellow Drive and Bell Way in Munhall Borough has been postponed indefinitely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Crews would not be able to maintain proper social distancing while completing the work.

The project, which requires a single-lane closure with flaggers while crews are performing their work, involves installation of a gabion basket retaining wall. Despite the postponement, that section of road remains safe for drivers.

There is currently no timetable for when the work, which is expected to take about three weeks, will be completed. When a new timetable has been finalized, that information will be provided to the public via press release.
