The Borough of Munhall is once again partnering with the Carnegie of Homestead to host its third annual
Community Day on Saturday, September 16, 2017 to be held this year at the Trautman Street
Playground in Munhall from 11 am to 8 pm.
This year’s Community Day kicks off with Mayor Bodnar’s Junior Olympics, an annual tradition open to
all boys and girls ages 4-12. Children participate in various sports and obstacle courses followed by an
awards presentation where “everyone’s a winner!” The Community Day will commence with live music and entertainment all day long on the larger baseball field. The smaller baseball field will feature a Kid’s Zone: crafts, games and bounce houses for children. The business-sponsored food booths will line the basketball court and highlight the best lunch and dinners available for purchase, crafted by local churches and restaurants. Intermixed in the food area will be business and organizations providing information to families about services they provide to the community. We encourage families to bring their beach blankets and chairs to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the day with their children, friends and neighbors.
The best part about the Munhall Community Day is that it is FREE to attend!
